I am a third-year at the University of Cincinnati, majoring in Biological Sciences on a pre-dental track. I’ve lived in Indianapolis, Indiana, my entire life and chose Cincinnati with the hope of gaining new life experiences that I wouldn’t be able to earn while at home. Since starting college, I’ve recently started to value and enjoy self-care, including exercising, meditating, or even just putting on a face mask and watching a movie. When starting classes, I found it easy to push my needs to the side to benefit myself from an academic standpoint, but these enterprises have made it easier to cope with college life struggles. I am a very futuristic person and I’m always reflecting on how I can become the person I will continue to be proud of and how I can influence others to do the same. I find that University Honors will allow me to continue to grow as a person and use my knowledge to benefit others. One of my biggest goals in life is to create representation for young children that look like me and create opportunities for them to learn their importance in life and achieve whatever they put their minds to.
